School..................

Its been really great having John back at home!! School seems to go smoother now that he experienced school in its institutional form! I think he really enjoys doing his work at his desk next to mom as I do mine!! He is really progressing.

Me? My school work?

Well lets just say I started the semester off with a a bang... Algebra and Computers.....until yesterday that is... I was struggling with word problems.... Algebra word problems are like speaking a foreign language without former lessons!! I have the algebra English dictionary but I still get a bit confused... its my A.D.D. acting up I think!! So anyway my 97 average is now a 92.

I need "A's" to get my GPA up...long story about a class a long, long, long time ago!!! Lets just say I have a few "A's" on my record from the past but otherwise I was a "B", "C" student and another bad grade that haunts me!! Either way I have to get "A's" to get the GPA up to where the Nursing program requires...SOOOOOOOOOOOOO besides being disappointed in my ability to comprehend this past Algebra section, I am disappointed in my average.

Ean is growing in leaps and bounds!! He has sprouted at least 3 inches since August and keeping him in clothes is a challenge!! His schooling consists of science experiments with play dough, practicing circles with crayons, listening to story time as John reads to him his reading story for the week. Barney has become his virtual teacher for a half an hour a day!! Building with his multicolored duplo-blocks teach him colors and hand eye coordination.

The best part of the day is playing "John Sena"(wrestling) as Ean calls it with his big brother John during break.



Yes our days are full but never too full to enjoy life!!!


Now that Lent is here the TV and video games are taking a sabbatical! Listening to "Adventures in Odyssey", drawing and building, building building, then knocking down and re building take their place!!


maybe next week I will be able to post the 95% finished project of our school/office/library room. For now enjoy a few sights of creations in the pay room.

Still no news on a name.
Due to the season of flu we are staying away

Winter weather is coming...

I cant remember the last time we had a white winter with temperatures going below 25, much less with windchill factors making it below "zero". My memory is probably on the fritz, but needless to say this cold weather is coming and I am unsure how to handle it.
They are saying no prolonged periods out doors, frostbite is a definite. BRRRRRRRRRR
I sure wish I had gotten the container of "Ice Melt" my cousin had picked up for me... I do feel better knowing that if they need some they'll have it to use!
I hope everyone who will be affected by this weather stays safe and healthy!

I have a prayer request. Please, for my baby sister, who is due with #6. The Dr's are inducing her tomorrow. She is going through her fear faze and I ask for prayers to help her through this time and for a safe and healthy delivery.
Also for her and her husband to agree on a name. I'm hoping he'll bend and agree on "Olivia" :-D
I'll post pictures as soon as I get them.

Oh Yea... A prayer for me? I will be in charge of 7 children ( ages 10, 8, 7, 5, 3, 2 1/2 & 1 1/2) two are mine. My hopes are that the Holy Spirit blesses me with an abundance of patience.

Feast of The Baptism of the Lord

Today the Church celebrates the Solemnity of the Baptism of Our Lord. This brings to an end the season of Christmas. The Church recalls Our Lord's second manifestation or epiphany which occurred on the occasion of His baptism in the Jordan. Jesus descended into the River to sanctify its waters and to give them the power to beget sons of God. The event takes on the importance of a second creation in which the entire Trinity intervenes.
