In Loving Memory

John Joseph Mark Zarrella
November 7, 1967 - November 20, 1989
This certain someone we all knew,
made people feel like gold.
It didn't matter who you were,
a person young or old.
He'd be right by your side,
If you needed a helping hand.
There wasn't ever a single thing,
This person would demand.
If you were stuck at some one's house,
And called him for a ride.
You couldn't even count to three,
Before he'd be there by your side.
Remember his face and feel his love,
For it is truly there.
And if you need to talk to him,
Kneel down and say a prayer.
Cause he's with God, now and for good,
In peace and eternal rest,
For this guy deserves it all,
Because he is the best.
So if you ever need a happy thought,
Remember he was here.
Smiling and having fun,
So no one would shed a tear.
Now that he is gone we still can laugh,
Cause life must carry on.
But none of us will ever forget,
That dear friend we called "John"

This poem was written 19 years ago by Kylie Johnson, a close family friend. I can't believe its been that long. I miss him so.

Happy Birthday........

Happy Birthday Mark!!

May God be with you and bless you;
May you see your children's children.
May you be poor in misfortune,
Rich in blessings,
May you know nothing but happiness
From this day forward.

Another belated post.... Ean's gotcha day

HOME for two years!!
November 1st was Ean's gotcha day.

Today was his 2 1/2 year Dr's visit.
He's growing leaps and bounds....
He is in the 75th percentile for his weight and height!!
I can't keep him in clothes.

A Prayer for You... my Friend

Dearest Father
up above
This prayer's for
all the friends I love
Some are near
and some are far
But Lord no matter
where they are
Watch and keep them
safely through
Each day and night
and I pray that You
Would bless them most
abundantly
For they are
Special friends
to me.

School.........

Last year I contemplated enrolling John in school.
Home schooling had become a huge stressor on both of us.
We decided to sell the house and move two towns over
where the public school system was more desirable.
The economy disagreed with us on the sale of our home
and I was faced with home schooling for another year.
Last week two months into the school year,
I reached the end of my rope and enrolled him in school.
He is in the BEST private grammer school in the area.

Handsome boy,

His brother thinks so too.

I am at peace with my decision. And I know he is in good hands.
It helps that his teacher is an old school friend from my private grammer school days!

belated Halloween

Can you guess who he's supposed to be?

I'll give you a hint ... a wrestler,

This costume is 90 percent home made, we had to buy the belt.

Construction paper rips easily.

Give up?

My first post on the new blog.
To give a little back ground info. I was cleaning up some of my on line accounts and I stumbled upon a Gmail account I never knew I had. I deleted the account but I didnt realize that I also erased my old Home Sweet Home blog. ooops
So here I am with a "new'ish" blog starting from scratch.
